چکیده
Epileptic seizures during sleep are common. Nocturnal synchronization in thalamocortical networks appears to contribute to the facilitation of sleep-related epilepsy. Specific epileptic syndromes associated with sleep, the differential diagnosis of nocturnal spells, and the use of video-electroencephalographic polysomnography are discussed. The management of sleep-related seizures is outline.
